Product Description
In this piece, Aranisola Olayinka narrates a story of a community in Makoko village. Makoko is a huge slum in the heart of Lagos, Nigeria. It is also a fishing community; many projects have been raised over the years to help improve the lives of these fishermen by empowering the fishing community in the area with better equipment to increase their fishing yield and boost their income. Equipping these fishermen with better equipment would boost fishing and thus stimulate the local economy. In addition, helping the Makoko Fishing community would alleviate poverty, provide food, and increase decent work and economic growth.
